Find somewhere

The feed

Food videos and photos from people and places around you, each one tied to a real place.

How it works

  1. Discover shows what you haven’t seen first, then fresh posts about places close to you.
  2. Following shows the latest post from everyone you follow.
  3. Tap a post to open the place, its whole menu and its prices, or order the dish straight from the post.

Answers “Exciting places near you”

Every place near you, with its menu

Swipe through the places around you as cards, nearest first, each with its whole menu.

How it works

  1. Each card shows photos, whether it’s open right now, the price level and how far it is.
  2. Swipe up for the full page: every dish with its price, the wait and the queue.
  3. Wherever you are, at home or travelling, the cards follow you.

Answers “Somewhere new for lunch”

Open, but is the kitchen?

See which places are actually serving food right now, not just which ones are open.

How it works

  1. Places tell Munchl when their kitchen is open and what they serve at each time of day.
  2. A bar that’s open with the kitchen closed says “Drinks only” and when food starts again.
  3. Turn on Serving food now and everything that isn’t serving food drops out.

Answers “Still hungry at 1:30”

The map

Every place on one map, filtered to what you need right now.

How it works

  1. Filter by open now, serving food, happy hour, pop-ups and food trucks, cuisine and price.
  2. Tap a pin for a preview with its live status, then open the full page.
  3. Pins load for wherever you’re looking, so the map stays fast in a big city.

Search places, dishes or vibes

Find a place by name, every place that serves a dish, or places with a certain feel.

How it works

  1. Type a name to find a place anywhere, nearest first. Accents and capitals don’t matter.
  2. Start with m/ to search dishes: m/ramen lists every place serving ramen, with the price.
  3. Start with v/ to search vibes: v/rooftop, v/date night.

Know before you go

Every dish, with its price

Photos, prices and what’s in every dish, before you leave the house.

How it works

  1. Menus come from the place itself or from the menu it publishes.
  2. Sizes, add-ons and set menus are shown the way the place sells them.
  3. Dishes that sold out today disappear until they’re back.

Happy hour

See when happy hour starts, and pay the happy hour price while it runs.

How it works

  1. A pill on the place shows “Happy hour in 35 min”, then “until 20:00”.
  2. Discounted dishes show the normal price crossed out.
  3. Your cart uses the happy hour price only while it’s running.

Allergies and diets

Set what you can’t eat once. Every menu marks what fits you.

How it works

  1. Pick your diets and allergies in Settings, and add any word you avoid, like “mushroom”.
  2. Menus mark the dishes that fit and flag the ones that don’t.
  3. Your allergies go on every order to the kitchen. You can switch it off for one order.

Answers “Dinner with her parents”

Ask Munchl

Ask for exactly what you want, in your own words.

How it works

  1. “Vegan for her mum, steak for her dad, under €100.” Munchl searches real places and reads their menus before it answers.
  2. Every place it names is a real one you can open, book or order from.
  3. It knows your diets and allergies, and the ones of the people you’re eating with.

Answers “Dinner with her parents”

Order and pay

Order from a post

When a post tags dishes, the order button holds exactly those dishes.

How it works

  1. Tap the bag on the post: the dishes from the video are already in the cart.
  2. Choose at a table, pickup or delivery.
  3. The place sees which post sent you, so the people who post get the credit.

Order at your table

Scan the code on the table, order and pay from your phone.

How it works

  1. The menu opens already set to your table.
  2. Add what you want, pay in the app, and the order goes straight to the kitchen.
  3. Order another round whenever you like. No waiting for the bill.

Split the bill

Everyone pays for exactly what they had.

How it works

  1. One person starts a table, everyone else joins from the link or the code.
  2. Each person taps what they had. Shared plates are split between the people who shared them.
  3. Everyone pays their own share from their phone. Nobody owes anybody.

Answers “Splitting the bill”

Track your order

Follow your delivery on the map, with the time left.

How it works

  1. Deliveries are made by Munchl couriers, picked up from the place when it’s ready.
  2. You see the courier on the map, the way they came and how long is left.
  3. For pickup, the place sees when you’re close so it’s ready when you walk in.

Pay your way

Pay by card, or from your Munchl wallet when it covers the order.

How it works

  1. Your card is charged when the place accepts your order, never before.
  2. Top up your wallet once or every month, and pay anywhere on Munchl with it.
  3. Anything cancelled or declined is refunded to exactly where it came from.

Points on every euro

Earn points on what you spend, and spend them at any place on Munchl.

How it works

  1. Every euro you pay earns points.
  2. Pay with points in the app or show your code at the counter.
  3. 1,000 points are worth €5, at any place.

Going out

Reservations

How it works

  1. Pick how many people, the day and the time.
  2. The place confirms, and you get a notification.
  3. Change it, cancel it or tell them you’re running late from My reservations.

The wait and the queue

See how long the wait is, and join the queue from wherever you are.

How it works

  1. The place shares its live wait time.
  2. Join the queue: you get a number and see how many people are ahead.
  3. You get a notification when it’s your turn.

Nights out

The entry fee, the drink prices, the music and the line, before you go.

How it works

  1. Every bar and club shows its entry fee and when entry is free.
  2. Drink prices and the music are on the page.
  3. Skip the line: pay in the app and show the code at the door.

Answers “A night out”

Bar crawls

Plan a night of stops and keep the group together.

How it works

  1. Make a list of stops and how long to stay at each.
  2. Share it with friends or make it public for anyone nearby to join.
